Oleksiy Andreev was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1962. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.

As followers in the solitude of Russian art academies that, especially during the course of the twentieth century, emerged as leaders in the rendering of technical skill in the classicist tradition, we showcase painters who emerged in the Flemish realist spirit of Ilya Repin and Ivan Aivazovski, and modernist leanings of Kasimir Malevich.
